Winterland Day 23

  • Hat Yai 605 Southeast Belmont Street Portland, OR, 97214 United States (map)

Day 23: Hat Yai

Named after the Southern Thai City of Hat Yai near the Malaysian border, Hat Yai was inspired by the streetside fried chicken vendors and small curry and roti shops in Southern Thailand. We prepare fresh roti made by hand every day. We also serve our favorite versions of other famous foods from Southern Thailand. We are a casual counter-service restaurant.

We are currently open for outdoor seating, carry-out and delivery. Order ahead online, call, or walk-in and order from our tables on your phone! Join us at either of our two locations on NE Killingsworth or SE Belmont!

About the artist

Lucci Ashby is a mixed media and sticker artist who moved to Portland in 2019 after losing her home in one of the California Wildfires. While new to the area, she is an emerging voice in our art community, not only as an active participant in the art scene but also as an organizer for the Portland Art Picnic and the Pasting For Progress art initiative. With Mexican American roots and as the single mother of 2 Black daughters, Lucci feels strongly about using her voice to advocate for change and a more equitable future. She is excited to be working alongside her daughters on this project and also to be helping give back to the community through it.
