Criterium racing returns to Portland on Saturday, August 20 with a fast, spectator-friendly course and a venue that’s fun for the whole family.

This exciting form of bicycle racing will thrill racers and spectators alike as the race speeds around the streets in excess of 30 mph. Mark your calendar for a fun afternoon of racing that will feature some of the best athletes in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Part bike race, part block party, the Portland Criterium is a quick, six-corner loop circling the NW Park Blocks (between NW Flanders and Couch). With plenty of bars and restaurants right in the neighborhood, you can make a day of it and watch this fast-paced style of racing unfold, lap after lap.

The first race starts at 1 pm, with fields continuing throughout the afternoon, right up until dusk.
